Getting to Williamsburg Map of Virginia

BY CAR: Williamsburg is 150 miles south of Washington, D.C., and roughly midway between Richmond and Norfolk on Interstate 64. See below for driving directions.

BY AIR: Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport is twenty minutes from the College; Richmond International Airport is fifty minutes west and Norfolk International fifty minutes east. Ground transportation is available through all three airports.

BY TRAIN/BUS: Direct train and bus routes to Williamsburg are available, and arrive within walking distance of campus. Contact Amtrak and major bus carriers for more information.

Driving Directions

From I-64, take Exit 238. At the second set of lights (Route 132), turn right. Turn right again at the next set of lights (Route 60 Bypass). Follow Bypass Road to where it ends and intersects with Richmond Road. Turn left on Richmond Road. At the third set of lights, (Scotland Street) you will see the Walter F. Zable Stadium on the right. Turn right and the University Center is located at the end of the parking lot on your right-hand side.

Lodging and Transportation

The Woodlands Hotel and Conference Center will serve as lodging for this event. These facilities are located next to each other so that organization and transportation can run as smoothly as possible. Room reservations for schools attending the conference will be guaranteed until January 24th, 2006, so be sure to make your reservations by that date. Prices range from $90 to $100 a night. When contacting the hotel, sponsors should mention that they are with the William and Mary Middle School Model United Nations Conference. In addition, all reservations must be accompanied by one night's deposit.

The contact information for the Woodlands Hotel is as follows:

Woodlands Hotel and Suites
105 Visitor Center Dr.
Williamsburg, VA 23185
(800) 261-9530 (direct phone number for group reservation office)

We will provide buses for transportation between William & Mary and the Woodlands Hotel before and after committee sessions each day. Bus transportation to the hotel (and back to campus) will also be available before the delegate dance scheduled for Saturday evening. (Note that transportation will ONLY be provided to and from the Woodlands - schools staying elsewhere will be responsible for their own transportation.) As always, individual schools may use their own buses for transportation around the campus and to the hotels (more information on special pickup and drop-off locations will be made available closer to the conference), but William & Mary buses are being provided for your convenience.
