Secretary-General

Leo Jones

Leo Jones is a senior studying Psychology and Religious Studies from Annapolis, Maryland. During WMID XXIV, they served as the USG-Crisis before being selected as Secretary-General. They have also been a Crisis Director three times at William & Mary’s other two Model UN conferences and are forever mourning that they can’t crisis direct at WMID. Apart from International Relations Club, Leo is also on exec for their service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. They also are in Comic Book Club and are capable of debating for hours about DC Comics. Leo is an avid reader, occasional writer, and so so excited for WMIDMUN XXV!!


Director-General

Gaby Thomas

Gaby Thomas is a senior from Fairfax, Virginia, majoring in International Relations and Economics and is hoping to attend law school. She has been involved with the International Relations Club since her freshman year, and pervious served as Chief of Staff for WMIDMUN XXIV. Gaby has travelled with the William & Mary Model UN team and staffed WMHSMUN, WMIDMUN, and &MUN. Other than Model UN, Gaby enjoys travelling, hiking, reading, crochet, and reading the legal codes of foreign countries. Gaby is very excited to see all the creativity the delegates bring to WMIDMUN XXV!


Registration Directors

Sophie Yeon

Sophie Yeon is a junior from New Orleans, Louisiana majoring in Public Policy and Public Health. She previously served as the Under-Secretary General of General-Assemblies at WMIDMUN XXIII and Registration Director at WMIDMUNXXIV, along with staffing at WMHSMUN and &MUN, but is so excited to join the secretariat again this year. Outside of the International Relations Club Sophie is involved in the Tri-Delta sorority, the Vietnamese Student Association, and the Public Policy Club. She loves eating good food with friends and watching too many movies in her free time. Sophie is beyond thrilled to assist your delegations and to discover the exciting ideas delegates will bring!

Olivia Brownfield is a junior from Chesapeake, Virginia, studying Economics and International Relations. She has been involved with the International Relations Club since her freshman year, seeking to continue her Model UN journey in college. She has travelled with the William & Mary Model UN team and directed committees at all of William & Mary’s various conferences. Outside of the International Relations Club, Olivia is also a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and the Public Policy Club. In her spare time, she can be found at a café, reading, or wandering Colonial Williamsburg. Olivia is so excited to see what all the delegates will bring to WMIDMUN XXV!


Chief of Staff

Mary Joyce

Mary Joyce (MJ) is a senior from Middleburg, Virginia, studying International Relations and English. She joined the International Relations Club as a sophomore, where she has staffed WMIDMUN XXIII. She participated in Model UN throughout middle and high school, and is now serving her second secretariat position (previously having been the Director of Conference Development for WMIDXXIV!) Other than the International Relations Club, MJ is a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, and enjoys reading, writing, hiking, exploring picturesque small towns, and playing guitar and piano. She is very excited to return to WMIDMUN, going full circle from delegate to secretariat member!

Under Secretary-General for Regional Assemblies and Specialized Agencies

Max Washington

Max Washington is a Sophomore and W&M student from Washington, DC, who is hoping to study History and International Relations. Having started Model UN in high school, Max continued his involvement in the activity as the Chargé d'Affaires for C-Team and now has the opportunity to not only serve yet another year as a member of C-Team but as WMIDMUN’s latest USG-SA/RA. When not in MUN or procrastinating on his homework, Max likes to fence with W&M’s fencing team as well as cook and bake. Max is really excited to be this year's USG-SA/RA and can’t wait to see all of the brilliant solutions and unique brands of chaos each delegate will bring to the table! 


Under Secretary-General for Crisis Committees

Dylan Burkhardt

Dylan Burkhardt is a senior at W&M who is from Chesterfield, Virginia. She is majoring in International Relations with a minor in History. Dylan has served as Crisis Director for 6 Model UN conferences during her time at W&M, as well as Spec Tsar for &MUN. Outside of MUN and International Relations Club, she plays jazz guitar for the college’s only student-led jazz ensemble called the Wham Bam Big Band. Besides that, you can catch her at Trader Joe’s buying snacks for her routine movie nights. Dylan is overjoyed to be WMIDMUN’s USG-Crisis, and is very excited to experience all the action, thrills, and fun that crisis committees will bring!


Director of Public Relations

Sam Mundel

Samantha Mundel is a Sophomore at W&M whose lived all over Massachusetts. She plans to major in International Relations. She started becoming involved in Model UN at W&M last winter, where she staffed for WMIDMUN, and since then she has been involved in their college and high school conferences. Other than staffing conferences, Sam likes to travel with IRC, and go to crochet club on campus. In her spare time, she likes practicing her graphic design, reading, and watching tv! She is incredibly excited to serve as this year’s Public Relations Director and film great moments from the conference!



Director of Conference Development

Shenan Lewis

Shenan Lewis is a Sophomore from the one and only Virginia Beach, Virginia, but has lived all across the United States! She intends to major in History with a Creative Writing minor. She has volunteered in various roles at all three of William & Mary’s Model UN Conferences, but serving as USG-GA for WMIDXXIV was certainly a highlight! Outside of the International Relations Club, you may be able to find her serving at the Wesley Foundation, or hanging out with the women of Phi Mu. Shenan enjoys drawing, watching movies, reading a book, and strolling around Colonial Williamsburg. She is absolutely thrilled to be serving as the Director of Conference Development for WMID this year, and wishes everyone a wonderful conference!
